Getting a better melee weapon will make a huge difference as well. Terokk's Quill, Sonic Spear or even Crystalforged War Axe from the AH would be better. Once you have the better weapon, then you can get +35 agi on it
as well.
There are still a lot of upgrades out there for you from the list you already referred to. You have more +crit than my BM hunter, but I have about 200 more AP unbuffed. We're around the same gear level,
but I haven't run an instance since Underbog so I know there are a lot of upgrades for me. I don't know about getting 1700 AP, but you can definitely bump it up a lot more than you have

Since I hit 70 and have started running out of solo quests I've been starting to pay attention to the pre-raid gear list here. Great list, but I'm fully and completely stumped when it comes to AP. Unbuffed (no AotH) my ranged AP
is sitting at ~1050 (~1200 w/ AotH). This is for a BM spec Hunter. My crit is 19.xx. I have some gems to upgrade in socketed items that will likely push my crit over the 20 recommended in the guide, but how on earth I'm going to push R.AP over 1700 is completely beyond me.

Currently, top of my list to upgrade are shoulders, boots, and chest armor. I plan on replacing the gems in my head armor with +6/+8 Agility as they become available. I have a Clefthoof Armor kit being sent to me tonight to add, and for what it's worth I could swap
the Rocket Ripper with the Consortium Blaster I have in the bank.
I'm not asking you to "rate my armory" (I hate those kinds of threads), but I've reviewed the gear list and squeezing another 650+ R.AP unbuffed seems damn
near impossible until I've got a full set of gear from heroic instances (long, long way away).
